Ramnaresh Sarwan is a West Indian player and represents West Indies Cricket Team. A right handed batsman born in 1980. Sarwan is also a part-time leg-break bowler. He has always been a good member for West Indies when it comes to his performance and has given valuable contribution in many games for his side. Sarwan made his Test debut in 2000 against Pakistan. He was unbeaten in both the innings but couldn’t convert the knock of 84(not out) into his maiden century in first innings. He then again missed the opportunity of scoring maiden ton against South Africa when he was run out at 91. Sarwan has played 87 Test matches and has added nearly 6000 runs in his score card batted at an average of 40. He has also helped his side through 15 tons and 30 fifties. Sarwan had taste of his first ton in 2002 against Bangladesh when he played a knock of 119 that played a crucial role in West Indies win. His best innings (291) came against England in 2009. When it comes to his bowling department, he has taken 23 wickets so far at an average of 50 with the best figures of 4/37. In the 2009 home series against England, in scoring his 13th Test match century Sarwan equalled the record for the most centuries in the fourth innings – a record he shares with Sunil Gavaskar and Ricky Ponting. In the first innings of the fourth test he recorded his personal best of 291 which equalled the highest score for the West Indies of the great Sir Vivian Richards. When it comes to his ODI career, he played his first ODI for his side in 2000 against England. He has given his contribution in 180 games and scored nearly 6000 runs with an average of 43 which also includes his 5 precious tons and 38 half-centuries. His top score in ODI format is 120(not out) which he scored against Zimbabwe recently in 2013 and helped his side in winning the game. In bowling domain, he has taken only 16 wickets with an average of 37 with the best figures of 3/31. In ODI matches, he has scored 5 tons so far and he remained not out in his all the 5 knocks. Out of 5 games West Indies won 4 matches and lost just one against English team when he played a knock of 104.
