Pakistan and New Zealand are scheduled to meet up in a test series that has been fixed for the later quarter of this year. Interestingly, none of the teams would be hosting the series and both would be flying away to United Arab Emirates to play the Test series. The post here is a little bit on the Pakistan V New Zealand Test series 2014.
The Pakistan versus New Zealand test series 2014 would commence from November 11 and would continue till December 1. There will be 3 Test matches altogether. As mentioned earlier, the first one would start on 11th November and there would be full 3 day break between each of the Test matches- the second Test match is dated to start from November 19 and the last one will kick off on November 27. The matches would be held at Sheikh Zayed Stadium (Abu Dhabi), Dubai International Cricket Stadium & Sharjah Cricket Stadium. The matches would start from 06:00 GMT.
The Pakistan Test team is to be spearheaded by Misbah-ul-Haq and former Pakistani cricket star Moin Khan in the team captain. The team holds a 5th position is the ICC Test rankings. On the other hand, the Kiwi Test team is to be led by Brendon McCullum. Erstwhile New Zealand cricketer Mike Hesson is the team coach. The team holds 6th position in ICC Test rankings.
The Pakistan v New Zealand matches have always promised great entertainment and this time would be no exception. Both are power packed teams and would leave no stone unturned to get the matches under control- assuring fantastic visual treat for the spectators. Though, none of the teams are playing at their home grounds, yet Pakistan always seems to have some passionate home crowd at UAE which might fall heavy on the Kiwis.
