News is coming that 10th IPL team may play in IPL 2014 and very soon the new IPL team for IPL 7 edition will be announced after IPL 2013 final according to Indian Premier League's Chairman Rajiv Shukla. Also, there will be no change in the format of IPL next year.

We will get final picture next month I guess.
It will be great if there is a team from Uttar Pradesh.
We do have very good players from Uttar Pradesh who are currently representing National Team as well as playing in the Indian Premier League.
Likes of Suresh Raina, Parveen Kumar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and many others who will hopefully be released by their respective franchise for auction can really become an asset for UP Team if they come up with that.
There are many other local players from Uttar Pradesh who have done well and great at Ranji Level and they must surely be given a chance to represent IPL if not national.
This is indeed a great move by IPL chairman.

Yes Uttar Pradesh team like Lucknow will be very good to see.

 

But for that, there has to be a new sponsor that can invest that much amount of money in the IPL. The exit of the pune warriors was a bad sign for the new teams that are planning to buy the franchise of the IPL. 

 

In my view BCCI should lower the buying cost of the teams as it will help the other teams to come forward and register themselves for the IPL. BCCI should also make sure that, the teams are governed by those organizations that are good in their management and this will make sure that, we get to see a good game play.

There is no new team this year for Pepsi IPL 2014. Also, Pune Warriors India's contract is cancelled by bcci. This year in Indian Premier League only 8 teams will participate. Let see if IPL brings 10 team in IPL 2015 or they will stick with this 8 team only.
