Indian cricket team came first for batting. Since they lost
the first match, this one was really crucial for them to win. Two players those
who came for opening were Ajinkya Rahane and Shikar Dhawan. But India failed to
get the desired start they wanted as the two openers went for Cheap. Shikar
Dhwan could only managed to score 1 run, and Rahane on the other hand got out
by scoring 12 runs. Now India was struggling at 50 runs with loss of 2 players
in 12.5 overs. Other player to come in was Rayudu. He provided some stand back
and scored 32 runs before getting out.
Kohli on the other hand was solid and proved to be the wall against
the West Indies bowling attack. He himself with the Suresh Raina gave a good partnership
that India needed. Both of them scored 62 runs before getting out. They steered
out Indian side from the troubled waters. Rest of the work for the team India was
done by the captain Mahendra singh Dhoni as he scored much needed 51 runs.
These players contribution led India to put up a score of 263 runs in front of
the guest. The overall bowling attack of the West Indies was stable and the
good bowling attack by Ravi Rampaul and Jerome Taylor was good. Taylor took 3
crucial wickets in his 10 over slot.
