So today was second semifinal which was being played
between the Mumbai Indians and T&T. Mumbai Indians won the toss and chooses
to field first. The opening partnership for T&T could not do well and they
lost their first wicket at a score of just 13 runs. But then a partnership
built up between the Bravo and lewis. Bravo got out by scoring 14 runs. On the
other hand Lewis scored 62 runs in 46 balls. Ottley also played really well and
scored 41 runs out of 30 balls. In total t&t was able to score 153 runs in
20 overs with loss of 5 wickets.
Batting second Mumbai Indians got off to a great start
with opening pair as Sachin Tendulkar and Dwayne Smith. For the first wicket
they both contribute 90 runs partnership. Sachin scored 35 runs and Dwayne
Smith scored 59 runs out of 38 balls. Then came Sharma and Karthik and they
also contributed towards the winning of the match. Smith 59 runs played a crucial
role in winning of this match and this is the reason he was declared as the man
of the match. From t&t side, SP Narine bowled really well and took 3
wickets.
