Delhi Daredevils on loss

New Zealand and Delhi Daredevils star Jesse Ryder is in an induced coma at a Christchurch hospital. so this is the main loss for DD........ and also Kevin peterson is not available which made DD fans go down in their spirit......

It was really dismal situation to see. But other players will definitely perform to keep the level for DD high. Kevin Pieterson is also injured now, so the fitness concerns are increasing for DD.

Delhi daredevils have not performed good this year. They have the weak team squad compared to other top performing IPL teams. Just hoping for any miracle.

If you say that Team is not strong for Delhi Daredevils because of Jesse Ryder's absence, then I must say that you are mistaken.
Even if he was in the team, he would have not be in playing XI with the likes of David Warner, Morne Morkel, Jayawardhene and Kevin Pietersen.
It is the absence of Kevin Pietersen, Delhi has been hurt the most. He was the one who held the middle order as well as scored quick runs which is lacking in this IPL.

Cricket is a team game and one player doesn't make that great a impact.
Of course their absence hurts but not so much that a team will lose 7-8 games in a row.
Delhi Daredevils should accept the fact that they did not play as good cricket as their opponents did.
Sehwag is completely out of form except for one match. Management has asked Warner to come lower down the order even though he is an explosive opener batsmen. Delhi kept giving chances to Chand even they have Venu Gopal Rao who is not only experienced but also a great player.
Captain benches their strongest all rounder Andrew Russel and do not give him a chance, What a waste of talent.
It is not one error that they have done but a lot many. All they need is to sit down, note and do their homework properly.
Players are partying even after they loses the match. This shows that cricket spirit is dying in them and they are not much bothered about whether they win it or lose it. They just play it for playing sake and not for winning sake.
Only Irfan Pathan seems to have consistent performance with the bowl in the side and his bowling quality and hard work has really been rewarded by earning him a place in the national side for Champions Trophy.

It clearly indicates that Delhi has given up completely. They come to field as if they are playing forcibly because they have to play. They don't show any intention to fight for win even.
It was very well written by Prerna above and looks like a proper analysis is done.
Management has to really look into this as to what is wrong within the team. Why are the batsmen not scoring runs and why are bowlers going for plenty and not taking wickets.
It is not that they do not have good players, in fact they have few best players for this format of the game but none have actually clicked as per their potential.
