5th Edition of Indian Premier League i.e. DLF IPL 5 T20 was started on April 4, 2012 and Final Match of 5th IPL T20 was played on May 27, 2012 between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, Chennai. This time, only 9 IPL teams participated in the 5th edition of IPL Twenty20.
