Seriously! You could not expect anything better than
this. Today’s match between the Perth Scorchers and Otago will be remembered in
cricket history. Perth Scorchers won the toss and elected to bat first (Every
team seems to be doing this). Batting First, Otago team got a very bad starts, and
there they lost their two wickets in just 9 runs. But then little bit
partnerships started to build between NT Broom and De Boorder. Boorder scored
45 runs out of 28 balls, after being bowled by Voges. On the other hand NT
Broom. Then a long partnership started to built between RN ten Doeschate and
Broom. Then what they both did was really something that cannot be explained by
words. NT broom scored 117 runs out 56 balls, and that includes 8 sixes and 9
fours. On the other hand Doeschate scored 66 runs out of 26 balls including 6
sixes in it. Broom remained not out and Otago gave chasing total of 242 in
front of Perth Scorchers.
... ...
Perth had a large score in front of them to be scored.
But their top order came down like stash of cards, thanks to Butler Bowling. They
lost 3 wickets at just 11 runs. But then AC Voges and HWR Cartwright started
with good partnership and got score of the team to 76 when Voges got out. Finally
Perth team was able to score only 180 runs and could not win the game.
