The Chennai super kings had consistently played well in both its homeland and in the Champions League T20. The CSK as it is otherwise known has been a consistent player in all the editions since the inception of this challenge. Considering the eight wins that it has had in the past three years, it can be assumed that one can look forward to its performance during this season as well. In fact if the team plays well this year it might even make to the semi-finals or the finals. As of 2013, CSK is in the group B of the challenge.
