Even after a good start that Tamim Igbal gave to the St. Lucia Folks, they could not able turn that efforts to the win. So after winning the toss, St. Lucia Zouks decided to bat first. Although their first wicket fell at just 10 runs, but then the whole team contributed in a great way. Tamim Iqbal Scored 75 runs which included six fours and 3 sixes. Then Darren Sammy and Gibbs also scored 20+ runs. But they were not able to achieve a bog score, but a score of 142 runs is still a good one. From Jamaica Tallawahs side, Vernon Philander took 2 wickets.
Chasing the score of 142 runs was quite simple for the Jamaica Tallawahs, it was appearing like that only. Firstly a great knock by the opening batsman Chris Gayle scored 40 runs with 31 balls he played. On the other hand, Andre Russell who came in last blasted 47 runs with just 19 balls. His batting was something to look for. And something sort of rarefied event that you see. If bowlers of the ST. Lucia Side were little more lethal, then the result would have been different. But once again St. Lucia could not hold what they had.
