Antigua Hawksbills and Jamaica Tallawahs were set to play
against each other at Providence Stadium, Guyana. Antigua Hawksbills won the
other side of the coin and elected to bat first. But the lethal bowling of the Philander
took his first victim at the very early state. J Charles got out, when
Hawksbills just managed to score 20 runs. Except Powell none of the player could
able to score more, he scored 38 runs. Antigua Hawksbills just managed to score
117 runs in 20 overs and with fall of 7 wickets. VD Philander took 3 wickets
and he gave 16 runs in 4 overs.
Now Jamaica Tallawahs had to score 118 Runs to win that
game. But their initial start too was not that good and they lost Chris Gayle
at very early stage and he just able to score 11 runs. But after that, the
whole team contributed and they finally managed to score 120 runs in 16.5 overs
with 7 wickets in hand. AD Rusell from the Jamaica Tallawahs side scored 42
runs in which 3 sixes were also there. None of the bowlers from the Hawksbills
side could manage to bowl well. So in other words it was quite of a normal
match nothing sort of excitement except the batting of AD Russell.
