Winner- Guyana Amazon Warriors by 19 runs.
Man of the match- Krishmar Santokie
Now talking about the 2nd match of the CPLt20, which
was being played between, Guyana Amazon Warriors and Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel
gave another crunch of entertainment to the people. All this action was
happening at the Providence Stadium, Guyana, and Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel
won the toss and elected to field first.
Guyana start was brilliant as both opening players put up a
partnership of 74 runs, Lendl Simmons and Martin Guptill both scored 42 and 32
runs respectively. And slowly the team was able to put up a score of 155 with
the fall of 5 wickets. From Red Steel, the only bowler that was good is Sulieman
Benn, although he did not took any wicket, but was very economical.
Now Red Steel had to chase this much score, they had a good
start, but the regular falling of wickets and then no big contribution from
other players expect the Nicolas Pooran who scored 54 runs, could not work out.
In the last the whole batting line of Red Steel, came down like house of cards.
And they just able to score 139 runs with the fall of 9 wickets. Krishmar Santokie and Veerasammy Permaul did
fantastic bowling, Santokie took 2 wickets by giving just 20 runs and Permaul
took 3 wickets by giving 32 runs.
Although the batting line up of Trident and Tobago was very
strong, they could not hold it back. On the other side batting and bowling of
the Guyana was very accurate and controlled performance from them led to their win.
