Mumbai Indians IPL Team is owned by Reliance Industries ( Indiawin Sports Private Limited). In IPL 2013, Ricky Ponting is the newly appointed Captain for Mumbai Indians.
I like Mumbai Indian most. They are my favorite and the association of Reliance with it, make them more interesting.

I did not understand how come Ponting has been selected as MI captain while neglecting the god of cricket.......

@jeevan vas: reason is because your God Of Cricket makes a good batsmen but not a good captain. Every good player cannot be a good leader.
Ponting is a good leader well supported by big trophies in his name.

According to me, Ponting being made captain of Mumbai Indians has added a disadvantage to the team.
Only 4 Foreign players can play in a team in IPL and Pollard, Malinga and Ponting will surely play now.
Having spent million dollars on Maxwell has created pressure on the team and they will be forced to shuffle a lot if any one doesn't perform.
