The first captain of the team was Rahul Dravid who led the team in 2008. The next captain for 2009 season was Kevin Pietersen but he soon left the left and Anil Kumble became the captain. The team had a change of captain in 2011 when Daniel Vettori donned the skipper’s jersey.
