The pair of Shane Watson and Michael Hussey came in the 2nd position for making the highest 2nd wicket partnership in the T20 World Cup for Australia. In the 19th match of ICC T20 World Cup 2012 against South Africa, Australia was chasing a target of 147 and that was achieved very comfortably because of the 2nd wicket partnership of 99 runs between Watson and Hussey. Australia won the match by 8 wickets and Watson was named Man of the Match for his fabulous all-round performance, he contributed 70 runs and also took 2 wickets.
