- Lala Amarnath (118 Runs)
Lala Amarnath was the first Indian batsman who made a hundred in his test debut for India. He had done this feat in the match against England at Gymkhana Ground, Mumbai in 1933. Unfortunately, India lost that match by 9 wickets. Since his debut, Lala Amarnath played 24 test matches for India and has contributed 878 runs at an average of 24.39. He is an all-rounder as he took 45 wickets and he became the first captain of the independent Indian cricket team.
- Deepak Shodhan (110 Runs)
Deepak Shodhan was a left-handed batsman of the Indian team and he was the second Indian player who struck a hundred in his test debut. His cricketing career was not so long as he played only 3 test matches for India but he has registered himself in the history of cricket by hitting a hundred in his test debut against Pakistan at Kolkata on 12 Dec 1952 under the leadership of Lala Amarnath. He played 3 test matches and scored 181 runs at an average of 60.33.
- AG Kripal Singh (100* Runs)
AG Kripal Singh is the 3rd Indian cricketer who had done this feat in 1955. He was a right-handed batsman who played his test debut against New Zealand at Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium, Nov 19, 1955, where he struck a hundred. Since his debut, he played 14 tests for India and scored 422 runs from 20 innings at an average of 28.13. He played his last test against Australia at Nehru Stadium, Oct 02, 1964.
- Abbas Ali Baig (112 Runs)
Abbas Ali Baig was a right-handed batsman for the Indian team and he made his debut in the test for Indian against England at Emirates Old Trafford, Jul 23, 1959, where he played an incredible innings of 112 runs in the 2nd innings. In his test career, he played 10 tests and scored 428 runs from 18 innings at an average of 23.78. He played his last test against West Indies at Eden Gardens, Dec 31, 1966.
- Hanumant Singh (105 Runs)
Hanumant Singh was a right-handed batsman and is the fifth Indian batter who made a hundred in his test debut for India. He made his debut in a Test against England at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Feb 08, 1964, where he struck 105 runs in the 1st innings. He played 14 test matches for India and scored 686 runs at an average of 31.18. He played his last test against New Zealand at Brabourne Stadium, Sep 25, 1969.
