Mystery bowling by Narine went in vain as Trinidad lost the match - The 7th match of the Champions League T20 was played between the Trinidad & Tobago and Sunrisers Hyderabad. The match was played at the PCA stadium in Mohali. The Sunrisers after winning the toss decided to field first. The Trinidad lost its 1st wicket in the very first ball of the innings. Evin Lewis and Darren Bravo took their team to a score of 49 runs before Lewis lost his wicket in the 6th over. Later Jason Mohammed and Bravo took the game forward. The 14th and the 15th over of the game saw fall of two wickets for the Trinidad. Bravo got out after scoring 66 runs while Mohammed scored 19 runs. These both players were out on the same score of 110. Later Denesh Ramdin and Navin Stewart played a gem of an innings to take their team to a total of 160 in 20 overs. Darren Sammy was the best bowler as he took 2 wickets giving away only 21 runs.

The Sunrisers needed a good start and the opening pair did shine for the team as they scored a good quick 35 runs in just 4 overs. Parthiv Patel was the 1st to leave after scoring 17 runs while Shikhar Dhawan lost his wicket after scoring 23 runs. The team stood at 45/2 in 6.2 overs. Jean Paul Duminy and Hanuman Vihari did manage to score some good runs for the team as they together looked fluent in scoring runs. At the start of the 11th over the Trinidad struck with a blow as Duminy was run out. Vihari too didn’t last long as he too got out leaving his team to a score of 95/4 in 13.1 over. The stage was set for Thisara Perera to shine and he did so by scoring 57 runs in just 32 balls. Karn Sharma though stole the show by hitting 13 runs off just 5 balls in the end to win the match for the team with 3 balls remaining. Sunil Narine took 4 wickets giving away only 9 runs. Thisara Perera was named the man of the match for his brilliant batting.
