In the coming month of July 2023, Bangladesh Cricket Board is all set to welcome Afghanistan in order to play a 3 ODI bilateral series. After completing their visit to India on the occasion of Eid, Afghanistan will come back to Bangladesh on 1 July to play Bangladesh vs Afghanistan ODI series 2023. The dates and venues have been decided and finalized by the Bangladesh Cricket Board. All the matches of the ODI series between Bangladesh and Afghanistan 2023 will be held in Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chittagong. The Ban vs Afg ODI series 2023 will kick off their journey with the first ODI on 5 July at Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chittagong, then the second and third ODI between both nations will be played on 8 July and 11 July at the same stadium.
Most probably, Afghanistan will come to Bangladesh under the captaincy of Hashmatullah Shahidi along with Jonathan Trott as a head coach. On the other hand, Tamim Iqbal will take charge of the Bangladesh ODI squad under the coaching of Chandika Hathurusingha. Afghanistan is currently sitting at the 8th place in the ICC ODI team ranking whereas Bangladesh is holding the 7th place in the list.
