Sri Lanka is all set to welcome Australia in the month of June-July in 2022 for playing 2 Test matches series as confirmed by the cricket governing body of Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka has already visited Australia in Feb 2022 for a five test series where Australia won the series by 3-1. Now, it's the turn of Australia to come to Sri Lanka for 2 Test matches bilateral series. This test series is going to be crucial for both teams as it is a part of the Test World Championship. The last test series in Sri Lanka between both the teams was organized in 2016 when Australia came for 3 test matches where Sri Lanka completely dominated Australia and SL won the series by 3-0.
SL vs Aus test series 2022 will commence with the first test match which will be held at Galle International Stadium in Galle on 29-3 June 2022. The 2nd test match will be played at the same venue on 8-12 July 2022. Dinesh Chandimal will hold the command of the Sri Lanka test squad under the guidance of coach Rumesh Ratnayake, on the other hand, Pat Cummins will take the responsibility of captaincy for Australia in the test series.
