Guyana Amazon Warriors wins their final league match against Zouks - The 26th match of the Caribbean Premiere League saw the St Lucia Zouks take in the Guyana Amazon Warriors. This was the last match for both the teams and it was a chance for the warriors to take a shoot for the 1st spot in the table while the Zouks were playing the game for just pride. After winning the toss the warriors chose to field first. The Zouks opener made full use of the condition and had a 139 runs partnership for the 1st wicket. Johnson Charles scored 62 runs off just46 balls and then lost his wicket in the 16th over of the game. The surprise came in from the Zouks as they promoted Sohail Tanvir to 3rd down. The experiment did not work for the team and the fall of wickets started in the end. Darren Sammy scored 22 runs in 13 balls while Andre Fletcher scored 78 runs in 49 balls. These batsmen took their team to a massive score of 189 in 20 overs. Navin Stewart took 3 wickets in just 2 overs he bowled.

The game was a story of opening partners. After a successful opening partnership in the first innings, the second innings saw a massive partnership yet again. Lendl Simmons and Martin Guptill made the chase even much simpler for the Warriors. They together scored 154 runs for the 1st wicket in just 17 overs. The 1st wicket fell in the last ball of the 17th over when Guptill lost his wicket after scoring 66 runs. The second wicket to go was of Simmons as he was run out after scoring 97 runs. The wicket fell when the team managed to score 181 runs and were close to victory. The team won the match with 8 wickets in hand. Simmons was named as the man of the match for his deadly batting.
