Zouks register their 1st win of the tournament against Hawksbills - In the 21st match of the Caribbean Premiere League the bottom placed team fought it out against each other. The St Lucia Zouks and the Antigua Hawksbills came against each other. Both the teams before this match were unable to win a single match in the tournament. The match was delayed due to rain and started off with 20 overs a side. The Zouks after winning the toss decided to field first. Hawksbills had a bad start to the match as they lost 2 wickets in 2 overs. Danza Hyatt and Shacaya Thomas controlled the innings but in the 9th over Thomas left after scoring 10 runs. It was the time when the rain came down again and this time reduced the match to 16 overs a side. Just after the start Hyatt too lost his wicket after scoring 26 runs. Marlon Samuels played a knock of 21 runs and David Hussey scored 16 runs. Carlos Brathwaite though played an important innings of 20 runs in just 9 balls to take the score to 103 runs in 16 overs. Sohail Tanvir took 3 wickets in the match.

The target for the Zouks was revised after D/L method to 106. Zouks too lost wickets pretty early in the innings. In first 6 overs they lost their 3 top order batsmen. It seemed that scoring the 106 runs would be difficult for them too. Henry Davids played the most important knock of the match scoring 43 runs and remained unbeaten. He got the support from Sohail Tanvir who scored 20 runs. These two batsmen made sure that their team reach the required score in the 14th over. With this the Zouks won their 1st match of the tournament. Tanvir was named as the man of the match for his all-round performance.
