Sunrisers Hyderabad got a big win over Rajasthan Royals in a low scoring match as the bowlers of SRH has done a brilliant job against RR. Shane Watson the RR skipper has won the toss and elected to field first at Sardar Patel Stadium, Motera, Ahmedabad. Yet again RR’s formidable bowling line up gave a decent performance to restrict SRH of 134 runs. Only Shikhar Dhawan (C) (33 of 20 balls) the skipper of SRH was able to score above 30 runs in front of Royals. Anyway, wickets kept on falling for SRH as Aaron Finch (9 of 10 balls), Lokesh Rahul (18 of 18 balls), Naman Ojha (W) (17 of 19 balls), David Warner (6 of 7 balls) failed to make any decent partnership between them.

However, Shane Watson claimed the second Hat-trick for Royals as well as of IPL 7. He bowled only two overs in the match and took 3 wickets by just considering 13 runs. Rajat Bhatia also bowled a extraordinary spell to support Watson as he gave only 23 runs in his allotted 4 overs and took 3 very important wickets to break the middle order of SRH. Pravin Tambe the spin wizard of IPL 7 also claimed 1 wicket and conceded 21 runs with the economy rate of 5.25.

While chasing a easy score of 135 runs Rajasthan lost the wicket of the most consistent batsman of RR, Ajinkya Rahane too early as he got back to pavilion without scoring a run. After that early big blow Royals failed to deliver any kind of prudent batting performance to chase the target. Karun Nair, Sanju Samson (W), Shane Watson (C), Stuart Binny all went early as the bowling line up of SRH even did a better job than Rajasthan’s. However, Steven Smith (22 of 33 balls) tried to stay on the pitch but that was not enough to pull the match for RR as they lost all their wickets with 1 ball left and Royals have only managed to put a score of 102 runs on their board.

It’s obvious that SRH bowlers have done a splendid job to outdone Rajasthan with a very low score in a compare to T20 match. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has done it again for SRH as he took 4 wickets in his limited 4 overs and just conceded 14 runs, this is one of the most outstanding bowling figures of IPL 7 so far. Dale Steyn also claimed 2 important wickets of RR by considering 31 runs. Anyway, Karn Sharma, Moises Henriques and Irfan Pathan shared 3 wickets equally as SRH got their much needed win to stay in a formidable position in the points table.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar was chosen for Man of the Match Award for his outstanding Bowling display and brought a good victory for his side.
