Royals win their last match in the home ground - The 18th match saw the Rajasthan Royals fight it out against the Otago in the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. The Royals in their home ground decided to field first after winning the toss. The Otago got off to a terrible start in their last match in the tournament. The Royals were able to get on top of the game in the first 6 overs of the game. They made sure that the home advantage was used to the maximum level as they took 4 wickets leaving the Otago to a score of 21/4. This was a shocking position to be in an important match. Ryan ten Doeschate and Jimmy Neesham started the rebuilding of the innings with some sensible batting. Ryan got out after scoring 26 runs while Neesham lost his wicket after scoring 32 runs. Nathan McCullum and Ian Butler scored 28 and 25 respectively to take their team to a score of 139. This seemed to be a score that was a distant dream once. Rahul Shukla took 3 wickets in the game for the Royals.

The target for 140 in 20 overs was an easy one for a team in form. The Royals got off to a good start scoring 49 for the 1st wicket. Rahul Dravid after scoring 10 runs lost his wicket in the 7th over. Then suddenly the Royals were put into trouble as they lost some real quick wicket and reached a score of 72/4. It was Bradd Hodge and Ajinkya Rahane who managed to script the win with some great batting. Both the players scored 52 runs and scripted the win for the Royals thus finishing off from their home ground with a win. Rahul Shukla was named as the man of the match for his bowling performance.
