Scotland cricket team is an associate member of International Cricket Council with One Day International status that allows the team to play one day international match against any other international cricket team . The team represents the European region in the sport of cricket. The team has been granted with the ODI status in the year 1994 but their inaugural recorded match has been played much earlier than they got the ODI status, on May 7, 1849 against England at Edinburgh. After being recognized as on ICC ODI team, the team has played 49 one day matches out of which team has won 14 matches but the team yet has to appear in a twenty20 international. The team is captained by Gordon Drummond.
