Bowlers of the Warriors win the match for their team - The Jamaica Tallawahs hosted the Guyana Amazon Warriors in a match of Caribbean Premiere League. After winning the toss the Tallawahs decided to field first. Batting first the openers Lendl Simmons and Martin Guptill provided a great star for the visitors. Simmons lost his wicket in the 10th over of the game after scoring 30 runs. later James Franklin joined in with Guptill. The opener scored 39 runs before leaving the team at 91. It was Franklin who scored 40 runs in 29 balls. At the end of the innings in search of some quick runs the team lost few wickets and lost the path. The team scored 139 runs losing 6 wickets. Chris Gayle was the top bowler who bowled 4 overs giving away only 15 runs taking 1 wicket. His tight balling didn’t allow the visitors to bat them out of the match.

While chasing the score of 140 the team didn’t get a good start the team lost the first wicket of Ahmed Shehzad in the 4th over of the match. Chris Gayle and Chadwick Walton tried to guide the team out with some cautious play. During the course of play the flow of run reduced and hence resulted in scoring only 66 runs in 9 overs. At the end of 11th over the team had only managed to reach a score of 72 losing 3 wickets. Walton after scoring 36 runs got out while Danza Hyatt didn’t score much. The fourth wicket saw Gayle depart after scoring 43 runs from 46 balls. in the last 5 overs the team needed 40 odd runs to win. But the lower order collapse dramatically thus they were not able to achieve the target. The team managed to score 134 runs. it was Christopher Barnwell’s last over that did the trick taking two wickets in the last over won the match for Guyana Amazon Warriors. On the other Sunil Narine who bowled 4 overs giving only 10 runs was awarded the man of the match award.
