Russell’s fiery innings win the match for Tallawahs - The St Lucia Zouks in a home game of the Caribbean Premiere League hosted the Jamaica Tallawahs. In the match the Zouks won the toss and they decided to bat first. While batting first, the team lost two wickets very quickly. After 5 overs the team was struggling at 26/2. It was Tamim Iqbal and Herschelle Gibbs who fought really hard and put up a good show with bat. Gibbs was run out in the 12th over when team was at 73 runs. Tamim Iqbal scored 75 runs off 62 balls while it was Darren Sammy in the end that scored some quick 26 runs to take his team to a score of 142 runs in 20 overs. The Tallawahs bowlers at the end made sure that the runs are not that easy to come as they took some quick wickets. Vernon Philander was the best bowler taking 2 wicket giving away 31 runs.

Gayle silently and calmly kept on scoring runs while the wickets kept on falling. It was Andre Russell who made the much needed difference by scoring some real quick runs. His 19 ball innings of 47 runs helped the Tallawahs cross the target in just 17.3 overs. Russell in his innings found the boundary 7 times. Garey Mathurin was the pick of the bowler for the Zouks as he took 1 wicket and gave away only 11 runs in his 4 overs. Andre Russell for his fiery knock won the man of the match title and with this win the Tallawahs earned the all-important 2 points that keeps them in the hunt for the knock rounds.
