On the 2nd May 2019, the 51st match of Indian Premier League T20 was played between Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Mumbai Indians won the toss and decided to bat first. Mumbai Indians made 162 runs in 20 overs in the first innings and set a target of 163 runs for Sunrisers Hyderabad. But the match was tied because Sunrisers had made the same score of 162 runs. The match was tied and went to the Super Over.

In the Super Over, Manish Pandey and Mohammad Nabi came to bat for Sunrisers Hyderabad. The ball was in the hand of Jasprit Bumrah. Bumrah bowled the first bowl outside the off-stamp and Manish Pandey played a cut shot. He went for a double run and lost his wicket because of a perfect throw from Krunal Pandya. Now, Guptil came onto the ground to bat. On the second ball, Guptil played straight for a single run. Now, the score was 2 runs from 2 balls at the loss of 1 wicket. Mohammad Nabi on the second ball hit a great shot for six over the leg-side boundary. But Mohammad Nabi could not handle the Yorker of Bumrah and lost his wicket on the next ball. Now, Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard came to bat for Mumbai Indians. The ball was given to Rashid Khan. Hardik Pandya played an excellent shot over the long-on field and hit a six on the first ball of Rashid Khan. Now, Mumbai Indians needed 3 runs from 5 balls. Sunrisers came under high pressure. It was nicely bowled by Rashid khan and gave only a single run on the 2nd ball. Now, Kieron Pollard was on the strike. Rashid Khan bowled a googly ball to Kieron Pollard but Kieron Pollard played it towards mid-wicket and had taken 2 runs easily. Mumbai Indians successfully achieved the target of 9 runs with 3 balls left in the super over. Thus, Mumbai Indians won the match. Jasprit Bumrah was selected as the Man of the Match for his excellent bowling performance in the match. He took 2 wickets in the match and gave only 22 runs off his 4 overs. He also took both the wickets in the super over.
