DELHI DAREDEVILS suffered a big defeat against RAJASTHAN ROYALS as they lost the match by 62 runs at Sardar Patel Stadium, Motera, Ahmedabad. Early in the match DD won the toss and sent RR to bat first. Ajinkya Rahane and Karun Nair opened the batting for Rajasthan. However, Karun gone early by scoring just 19 runs in 14 balls but Rahane yet again played a brilliant innings of 64 runs in just 50 balls. It seemed like he had a plan for every ball. In the most valuable part of the game Kevon Cooper and Sanju Samson (W) produced some quick fire to set up a huge score of 201 runs against Daredevils. Cooper and Samson scored 32 of 16 balls and 40 of 25 balls respectively. Anyway, in the back end of the first innings James Faulkner played his part spectacularly to cross the landmark of 200 runs as he scored 23 most quick runs in the match by just playing 8 balls. Steven Smith was the skipper for RR in the match as Shane Watson took rest to give a chance to other overseas players.

Anyway, there is nothing much special about DD bowlers, only Imran Tahir bowled a decent spell for the Daredevils as he claimed 2 wickets by just considering 25 runs.

In reply, Delhi started their innings poorly as usual. Only one batsman of Delhi crossed the milestone of 20 runs in the match and he was Manoj Tiwary. Tiwary played a unbeaten knock of 61 runs in just 44 balls but all the other big names of DD like Kevin Pietersen (C), JP Duminy, Dinesh Karthik (W), Ross Taylor failed to support him with the bat. Delhi is probably out of the tournament after suffering this Big loss in the 41st match of IPL 7.

Rajasthan bowlers played their part like a free bird, they never took any pressure upon them during the match as Daredevils only managed to score 139 runs against them. Rajat Bhatia cleared the middle order of DD by taking most valuable two wickets of them with the economy rate of 6.00. Except Bhatia All other bowlers of RR claimed 1 wicket each in the match and that might be the best bowling performance by any team in IPL 7.

Ajinkya Rahane was given the Man of the Match award as he played his part with perfection to bring up the simplest victory for his side till now.
